Audison APS 8 D
The APS 8 D is designed to deliver maximum performance in a sealed enclosure with ultra-compact volumes from 7.5 lt. to 8.5 lt. It features push connectors for ease of wiring and configurations and has been developed with a primary goal: to deliver high output in tight spaces. Output is a matter of excursion; the more air the cone moves, the more output. However reduced mounting depth traditionally has meant low excursion. Prima subwoofers employ a special cone-dustcap-basket geometry which guarantees large excursion of the mobile group, while keeping the mounting depth to a minimum. The surround and spider have been carefully designed to prevent the “rocking-mode” phenomenon. The cooling circuit has been designed with air vents on the basket underneath the spider, eliminating the need for vents on the bottom-plate. This allows the subwoofer to be mounted close to the back wall of the enclosure, making the most of the reduced mounting depth.

The MW 8BMW-D subwoofers are not only the ideal upgrade for those who are dissatisfied with the bass response in their BMW, but particularly for those who want to realize unprecedented space saving installation concepts.
The BMW-specific baskets and Plug & Play connectors allow a fast and easy installation into the original mounting positions of all BMW model ranges with under-seat subwoofers.
Nevertheless, these subwoofers are also perfectly qualified for universal applications. Thanks to the very low mounting depth, extremely compact sealed enclosures are no problem at all whereas the oversized 1.7” / 42.5 mm voice coil assures high power handling.
Furthermore, the special speaker connector with its gold-plated screw terminals allows two different configurations. If the metal bracket is mounted the woofer has an impedance of 1 x 4 Ohms – without the metal bracket each voice coil can be driven separately (in this case 2 x 2 Ohms) which is perfect for the combination with MATCH Plug & Play amplifiers.
No matter if these subwoofers are used as bass upgrade in your BMW or as problem-solver in small sub enclosures, they will definitely add loads of powerful bass for musical enjoyment.

Therefore, we offer the single woofers of our Plug & Play series, which are 100 % identical to the drivers that are used in the pre-loaded variants. As long as you choose the net volume and port tuning frequency according to the installation instructions, we guarantee the same acoustical performance as our “standard” subwoofers.
