Here’s where the new HELIX AAC.2 comes into play, it generates a perfectly conditioned pre-amp signal from a speaker level output from an arbitrary car radio or amplifier.The new AAC is more intelligent than any other signal converter on the market today. Its “Double Activation Circuit“ generates a remote signal for controlling external amplifiers in two different manners.
Either it will detect the DC offset on the speaker output of typical factory radio or it uses an integrated signal detection circuit with variable input sensitivity that can be activated as an additional feature. -
Helix SDMI25
Simply clever – the HELIX SDMI25 is the “smartest solution” to integrate DSP products into vehicles with premium sound system.
In many premium vehicles, the audio signal is embedded in the MOST data stream which enables lossless and interference-free communication between the individual components. The SDMI25 automatically detects the music signal within the MOST25 data stream and outputs it as a highest quality digital stereo signal in SPDIF format. Thanks to its optical digital output, signal processors and DSP amplifiers that are equipped with a digital SPDIF input can be fed with a perfect audio signal.By simply setting jumpers, the SDMI25 can be adapted to the respective car model. The adjustment of the volume, balance and tone control via the original radio remains unchanged.
As a special highlight – when used in BMW vehicles – the volume of the on-board warning signals (e.g. of the parking sensors) can be adjusted and thus perfectly adapted in relation to the audio signal.In various car models the MOST25 components are protected by a serial number. The SDMI25 automatically detects and copies this number from the component to be replaced and finally logs on to the MOST data bus automatically.

The integration of car hifi components into existing OEM sound systems becomes more and more challenging as today’s factory radios either lack of preamplifier outputs or incorporate intelligent speaker diagnosis features. That’s where the new Helix AAC.3 comes into play.
The smartest high-low converter in its class
Forget about error messages or loss of features (e.g. the fader) – the integrated ADEP.3 circuit cleverly “bypasses” the speaker diagnosis in factory car radios. Distorted sounds and increased THD which may occur with conventional high-low converters are prevented as well. The good thing is that the ADEP.3 doesn’t load the car radio’s amp unnecessarily and therefore reduces its current draw by up to 70 %.
